But I can’t help but be MORE horrified at the thought of his victim’s - a young, pregnant woman just married - final moments, and the terror he inflicted on HER.
To my mind, he gave up any right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness when he took her right to same away.
Moral of the story: Don’t murder people, you don’t get executed.

Yes, a bullet has always been considered the quickest, kindest way.
No need to be concerned about "quick." And a noose can be repeatedly used. With no "carbon footprint" from a firing a bullet, in addition to removing the "carbon footprint" of a murderer, that makes the execution "Green" so liberals, other than the murderer, can't complain.
I’m fond of the old western style hanging complete with hymn singing before the trap door is sprung. It is not only a nice way to put the perps in the best frame of mind to meet their maker, but it would horrify liberals even more.
Got a solution to help thugs think more than twice about rape and murder.
First we open Death Rows into one big cage, on a table put one claw hammer for each Death Row inmate and tell them the last 1 alive will be set free with a Million Dollar award. When they are down to the “1” say “we lied” and shoot em like the mad dogs they are.
Announce publically that each time Death Row became filled, the claw hammer process would begin again. THAT would leave a lasting impression even on the worst criminal mind.
It is called capital punishment because they used to take off your head.
Why not make a helmet out of some C-4 for guys like this? Instant, and quite final. Use twin firing mechanisms for backup. No special room required, just an open field with a pole.

You don’t give a damn about the guy. I certainly don’t either. But, stories like this are ammunition to the lefties so I sort of give a damn about the story.
Hanging makes sense. It’s quick, and relatively painless if done right. And it sets a clear, public example that does a lot more to discourage murderers than any of the processes in use today.
Didn’t 0bama ban or prevent the manufacturing/import of the drug that was typically used for lethal injection causing states to have to come up with other methods?

Executions are allowed to be cruel. Executions are allowed to be unusual. Just not both.
Sounds to me like he suffered from sleep apnea, especially after gorging himself.
