The Chris Christie witch hunt is on in New Jersey, as national and New Jersey Democrats attempt to skewer the Republican governor over "Bridge-gate." Yet, no one really cares - at least not nearly as much as they care about the polar vortex that hit last week.
A whopping 18% of Americans are closely following this story - and 60% say they haven't changed their opinion about Governor Christie, according to a new Pew poll. Six percent even think more favorably of him these days.
It just shows you that people don't care much about a local "scandal" involving traffic jams in an area that happens to be dominated by Democrats, who already don't like Christie. The only ones who seem to care are in the liberal media.

IMHO the Liberal Vortex is more consequential to us than the Polar Vortex. The former will do far more long term damage to the country than the latter.

Yes, but that local traffic jam was responsible for the death of a 91 year old woman who couldn’t get an ambulance!!!! And what’s amazing to me about the dems and the press that screamed about this “poor woman” is, they would otherwise have no regard for her. 91 is “throw it away” time for dems.

Bridge closures (or certain lanes of bridge closures) and traffic jams happen all the time, all over the U.S. I am certain they have caused deaths (especially traffic accidents that occur because of the sudden backups). No one ever mentions those. I wonder why ?
I also wasn't aware that 'aides' in the governor's office 'scheduled' highway construction and bridge repair.
The family said she was already dead. Other people probably died of the four day lane closings too. I bet somebody is dying right now.

I agree with you 100%. For most of the great unwashed out there though, the fact that he might be willing to give our adversaries the occasional knee in the groin is seen as a positive.
Oh that's so pre-global warming. They have to spice it up to make it sound like something new. Right now I have some pressure differential gas flow going on outside. I think we're all doomed.
