Mubarak of Algeria claimed to have witnessed the two World Wars, and has 100 grandchildren
An Algerian man believed to be the worlds oldest person died at the age of 130 years in hospital in the North African Arab country after he was admitted two years ago for the first time in his life, newspapers reported on Monday.
Mubarak Rahmani was born in 1884 in a desert village near the border with Libya and he had spent most of his life as a shepherd to support three wives.
Doctors, quoted by local newspapers, said Rahmani fell ill two years ago and was admitted to hospital for the first time in his life.
He was bed ridden in hospital for nearly two years. He died on Saturday, a doctor said, quoted by Algerian newspapers.
Rahmanis favourite food included fresh milk and other dairy products, wheat flour, date, red and green tea. He was known in his town as uncle Mubarak.
It sounds like he did fine until he began seeing doctors. ;-)
Wow. Amazing to think that he was too old to serve in WWI, and was in his 50s and 60s during WWII.
Looks more like mid to late 70’s.
What was the cause of death?
It’s my understanding that the best-cases maximum for the physiological state of the human body is 120 years. That’s assuming full functionality and no abnormalities.
Either science got it wrong or this guy was some sort of one-in-a-quadrillion abnormality. Or I’m mistaken. Or the record keepers were mistaken. Who knows. God speed to Uncle Mubarak.
It was because he’s now on an ACA health plan.
Can I see his birf certificate?
An exceptional run. RIP.
He doesn’t look a day over 100.
How do you say BS in Arabic?
Lack of breath.
I love dairy products so happy to hear he loved on milk! RIP, uncle.
That man doesn’t look even close to 130 years old. Assuming this is legit I would like to know how he did it
I used to love his show.
Three wives! Surprised he lived to 130.
Gen_6:3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit will not put up with humans for such a long time, for they are only mortal flesh. In the future, their normal lifespan will be no more than 120 years.”
That's his 70th birthday pic, LOL
