as stars begin to arrive for annual awards ceremony
It was a mad dash to scrub the red carpet ahead of Sunday's Golden Globes after a pipe burst, spewing liquid some say smelled of sewage across the pathway for the stars.
Black water gushed onto horrified members of the international press awaiting the arrival of Hollywood glitziest stars dressed in their finest gala attire.
The press fled from the spill as the Beverly Hills Fire Department rushed to the scene to clean up the smelly mess in front of Hollywood's famous Beverly Hilton Hotel.
An E! Television red carpet correspondent was among the disgusted press members who witnessed the unprecedented sullying of one of the world's most anticipated celebrity events.
'A pipe has appeared to totally bust and there is water gushing, literally everywhere in the position of where all of the international press everyone has moved out of the way,' said Catt Sadler. 'Rain was not expected in LA today, but we've got a little flooding!'
The flooding was apparently more like a malodorous deluge.
'Sewage pipe break on red carpet at #GoldenGlobes so its not hot as s**t but it could smell like it today. Good times,' tweeted Access Hollywood's Billy Bush just after the disaster....
According to KABC, the gusher began when a lighting rig overheated, setting off a sprinkler, which rained the fluid down onto the crimson walkway.
But eye witnesses said the water smelled of sewage, suggesting there was more to the story than simply a fire system set off by accident.
'We can confirm that there was a malfunction with a sprinkler near the red carpet,' read a statement from the posh Beverly Hills Hotel, where the Golden Globes have been held--sewage free--for over 50 years....

That is hard to say, but most all would be with Sean Connery.
He is the master at “Bond, James Bond”. Goldfinger would be one at the top of the list.
Too late! They’re already riding off in all directions.
Some people never learn! :)
The Thread Nazis are busy these days.
I'm glad you pointed that out. Some in an earlier thread pointed that out as well -- but that thread got deleted for some unknown reason.
That being said, what a lovely time for all that stagnant water to be purged from the system.
Yes...
Has Steven Seagal ever done a good movie ?
Sewage for the swine who walk the red carpet. I call it cosmic justice posing as coincidence.
LOL
True
Try the Encore Westerns channel. Lots of classic Western movies going back to the 1940s and up to about the 1990s. ....Much better, IMO, than most of present day movies. John Wayne, Van Cleef, Eastwood, Autry, spaghetti westerns, etc.
Did the burst pipe get a Golden Globe?

Obviously, you do not like him...Sorry.
I mean, c’mon. I watched a few of his back some 2 decades or so ago, but the stuff is forgettable.
Oh, believe me, I know about the Encore Westerns channel. Heck, it was one of the reasons I got the dish in the first place, back in 1996!
I’m always partial to the western genre. In fact, I’m on a pretty big kick of collecting dvd’s of 1920s-era silent westerns right now. Hoot Gibson, Jack Hoxie, Tom Mix, Yakima Canutt, Leo Maloney, Bob Custer, Harry Carey, etc. Incredible americana. I love the stuff. The whole mentality and worldview it represents. Reminds me of my late grandparents’ and their attitudes... a combination of straightforward, no-nonsense reality and conservatism, coupled with an old-world romanticism. The exact opposite of modern American culture in so many ways.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every one of his movies. Suspense, action scenes, etc. ...They beat the hell out of the liberal/lgbt pap that Hollyweird is pushing out today.

Different strokes for different folks :)
I have seen just a few of his movies that I did not care for, usually when he plays the “down in the hood” type of character.
