What’s so new or different? It seems to be a requirement that French politicians have extra-marital sex with models and actresses. The higher up the politician, the better looking the choice of concubine they get. It seems so perfectly corrupt and imperial, like ancient Rome or China - where actresses were mostly prostitutes, and if they had enough skills, they could find themselves Empress one day.

The president has record low poll numbers, somewhere around 8%. This might bring him down, but it was his economic policies that did it. This might be the convenient last straw.
