Did the first one fall into the swamp?
That place looks like something out of Citizen Kane. How awful for them.
It’s not that the mansion cost $4 million, or so I thought. But when I found out that it cost $4MILLION, I took notice.
If I had $4 million to spend on a house, it would be made mostly of concrete and would include a sprinkler system.
Yes sad, I wonder how the family business was doing? Bet that’s one of the first things the police will look into.
Sorry about their loss, but it was ugly. And what are you going to do with all those rooms?
If I could have a fantasy house, I’d want an indoor pool, gym, bar/rec room, and movie room.
I’d be very happy with a 6000 sq ft spread and weather insulated to the max. A little detached workshop and some land to garden on and its a mansion/plantation.
It’s mostly jealousy and envy in the comments at the site. If it took them years and years to build they can’t be THAT rich. And how do those commenters know whether this family donates generously to charities? Plus they probably think that their celebrities that live in WAY more expensive houses are A-OK. Whether it is arson remains to be seen. I feel sorry that they lost their personal articles.
The home is quite unimpressive. Actually it’s on the tacky side. If I was going to build a $4 million medieval style home, that would not have been what it looked like.
"Because the two-storey home was set back from the road, in five acres of land, and didn't have a sprinkler system, the firefighters struggled to control it.
A fire hydrant that was on the property didn't have a large enough supply of water to tackle the flames, WCPO reported."
I call that very bad planning.
You remembered to mail that insurance premium, .right?
something tells me if they had 4 mill to spend on a castle, they have another 4 mill for a 2nd castle.
Sad story.
Some folks my call it Jewish Lightening that caused the fire.
Is it just me or ...
Which one does not belong:
“The sprawling five-bedroom home, which had an elevator, flag pole and outside pool, was built in 2006”
Seriously if you are going to build a castle put in a modern sprinkler system. I mean come one have some modern technology to boot.
Sad to hear they lost their home to a fire...but was there a sprinkler system...and the fire hydrant with too small pipe outlet/pressure. What!!! As for me it’s looks like just another mcmansion. Architecture should sing...be a feast for the eye...and comfort for the body. IMHO.
