Elvis Presley would be celebrating his 78th birthday on January 8th, 2013. Some members of Congress have been considering the creation of "Elvis Presley Day" on January 8, commemorating the birthday of the legendary entertainer.
Elvis was born in Tupelo, Miss., and moved to Tennessee at age 13. He is the best-selling solo artist in the history of popular music and one of the most well regarded figures of pop culture, known as the "King of Rock and Roll." He received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award at age 36 as was inducted into multiple music halls of fame.
Prescription drug abuse contributed heavily to the deterioration of Presley's health; he died in 1977 at the age of 42.

Without meaning to be rude or crass, I'd still have to say that that picture looks like the guy swiveled the top half around, but the bottom half stayed put. It is difficult to see whether he's coming or going...

Elvis didn't give us the wonderful EPA. You may not have been around back in the day, but quite frankly, we needed an EPA.
That the loonie Left has hi-jacked it decades later, is not Nixon's fault.
BTW, how can you dislike the CiC who gave Hanoi a Christmas present they still haven't forgotten ...

People would be shocked to hear that Graceland is the 2nd most visited personal residence in the U.S. The White House is 1st.

“legendary” entertainer? Not by my standards. The sooner he becomes only a name in history, the better. Poor guy, his life ended way too soon.

DREADFUL pic. Shows what a parody Elvis became. He didn’t deserve that.

I must say that the hour long tour I took of Graceland was very interesting and I'm glad I did it.On the bus back to the parking lot I sat next to two guys from South Korea who flew over just to see Graceland.
Yikes! If they TRULY did that, then they REALLY need a life.

Yes, and you might want to update your screen name too. It is just a bit too late now for Sarah in 2012...
:-)
(Don't worry "ilovesarah2012" -- for the next month or two, it will still be "2013" in millions and millions of checkbooks all over the world...)

I cannot think of a gubmint agency created in the past 40 years that we still need or likely needed in the first place.
It’s all about growing gubmint.

If they TRULY did that, then they REALLY need a life. Well, first of all, there was something of a language barrier. One of them spoke no English and the other's English was,at best, only fair.Perhaps I worded my post badly...they didn't give me the impression that seeing Graceland was their *only* reason for coming but I did get the sense that it was their main reason. This doesn't surprise me all that much because the *main* reason why I visited Africa was to see the wildlife parks but it wasn't my *only* reason.

I thought about changing my name, but then no one would know who I was. But that might be a good thing.
