Action movie star Steven Seagal as Arizona governor? Um, no.
Despite how a question by a Phoenix reporter has been hyped by the national media, Seagal says he would remotely consider it, but has a lot more other responsibilities that may be more important to address.
But Seagal did strongly defend Maricopa County, AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio against absurd leftist charges of "racism", and said the top issue facing the U.S. now is our wide open border.
The 61-year-old actor made the comments while promoting the latest season of his reality show Steven SeagalLawman: Maricopa County. In the show, Seagal joins forces with Arpaio as a member of the group of civilians who help out the toughest sheriff in America.
So, what does Seagal think is the most serious problem facing the country?
Believe it or not I think its open borders, Seagal said. People are talking about Islamic terrorism in America. I dont think that at all I think across these borders any kind of terrorism can come and does come and I think this is a tremendous oversight by the current administration. I think that its a crime and I think we should really be paying attention to our borders. He also strongly defended Arpaio against claims that the reason why hes so focused on illegal immigration is because hes racist. Is Joe Arpaio racist? No, hes not. And Im not going to say, I dont think hes nothes not. He doesnt care what nationality you are, he cares if youre a criminal.
D not trust that guy.
Eddie Munster called- he wants his hair back.
....Or maybe is starting to wake up and smell the coffee?
OK. Will he take Stallone’s phone calls about “The Expendables 3” now?
Ouch !
Was thinking the same thing!
Sheriff Joe—now he would make a good Governor. Segal for a mayor or something. He’s got to prove himself before I would trust him.
This story originated on ABC15 in Phoenix. As most here know, ABC15 has a habit of making it up as they. Kinda like the huge story last week of the two rescue helicopters crashing into each other in Hidden Valley. Nope. Didn’t happen.
Earlier in December, they reported that Walmart had press permanent trespassing charges against a ‘customer’.
Never happened.
Look at the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office website to see these stories clarified.
From his movie On Deadly Ground:
Having met Mr. Seagal and conversed with him, I will tell you that this story is accurate, both in his statements about his beliefs and what he says about the Sheriff.
I do not believe what this man says.
The funniest Segal movie I ever saw has to be Executive Decision. He dies in the beginning.
Stallone has certain mimimum standards for acting ability for his Expendables movies; Seagal doesn't qualify.

“I’m just a kook” is what he meant to say.
Hey I watched the guy shoot out a lit match with a pistol. Mighty impressive. Haven’t seen too many libtards do that.

The partisan media shills are pushing the Seagal-for-gov meme as a false flag operation. Thanks montag813.
