It’s almost always a bad idea to call the police.

It’s not ‘The Andy Griffith Show’ any longer.

The cops who come to your house don’t care about you or your loved ones or your property. They take over and do what they want. If your dog gets in their way they will shoot it. If you get in their way they will arrest or shoot you.

It’s like having the UN show up at your house.

We learned the hard way that you don’t call the police on your young son to “scare him”. Back in the day, the cops would come and let him know how serious his “offenses” were and the kind of life they could lead to while giving you a wink. Now, they haul the kid off to jail and press charges, to be followed by court.

I don’t understand this. How many times have we seen this sort of thing. Yet people keep calling cops, cops keep shooting people, medals awarded, rinse and repeat.

Cops are institutionally dangerous and in most cases beyond criminal and civil culpability. The heartless, inhuman, uncaring nature of these organizations is stunning.

How anybody could get up everyday, put on a Police uniform and go to work is beyond me.

It is the old Vietnam era meme. “To save the village, we had to destroy it”.

Don’t forget that these institutions are backed by politicians, judges, DA’s and lots of Joe Bag O Donuts citizens. They are a product of our hopeless, ridiculous, feckless society.

I will only call the cops to come draw the chalk outlines around deceased intruders. Everything else gets handled in-house. I have seen friends and family screwed over by law enforcement. I appreciate their function in society, and their individual efforts... But not what they have collectively become - a force for intimidation and oppression.
