The NFL handed down one of its stiffest fines of the season to Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch last week -- for not talking.
Lynch briefly spoke to reporters Friday, but it was apparently too little, too late for the NFL. According to a Seahawks source, the league fined Lynch $50,000 for not speaking to the media throughout this season until Friday, when he briefly met with and spoke to reporters.

Lynch was later heard to say.....http://www.johnspeedie.com/healy/submitted/sparky_anderson.mp3
I think this guy was with The Bills and they got rid of him for this ‘attitude’
Go Seahawks!
Source: Wikipedia
“Lynch led Seattle with 1,257 rushing yards in his seventh season. He added a career-high 316 receiving yards with 12 rushing touchdowns and two through the air.”
What the hell does he need to say?
Are NFL players under legal obligations to give interviews ?
Yes, under certain conditions.
Yes. It was in the CBA.
For him, silence is not golden!
"Beastmode" did get into trouble while with the Bills and that's why they let him go. Of course, with the "luck" of the Bills, he goes to the Seahawks and becomes their feature back and has three straight 1000+ yard seasons! Oh well...
In Buffalo, lynch was involved in a late-night hit and run on a 23 year old woman in a bar district. The police later found his damaged car in his driveway. Somehow, he made a settlement with the woman and the whole problem all went away. The next year he was caught in LA riding in a car with some of his "homies," a few guns and a bag of weed.
If he had been more productive, the Bills probably would have kept him, but the arrival of Fred Jackson made him expendable.
“For him, silence is not golden!”
Maybe he could hire Golden Tate as his spokesman.
I would like him on my favorite team. They have no running game and questionable receiver corps.
Stories indicate the NFL just now realized this. Apparently the West Coast really is off the beaten path.
Is it really an attitude to just keep quiet and not cause problems?
He ought to meet with the media and tell them that he only speaks by his actions the field.Period.
What does the league want? Trash talk?
Players are required to be available to reporters at least twice each week: after games and sometime leading up to the following game.
Marshawn?
It’s an Old Testament name...
Let's just say his Ebonics speaks volume's.
I still can't decipherer most of what he {Marshawn Lynch} is saying.
