If you've been on the Internet at all today, you've almost certainly seen the story claiming that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un had his uncle executed last month by stripping him naked and feeding him to 120 hungry dogs. The story was first reported by a minor Hong Kong outlet on Dec. 12, was picked up by a Singaporean newspaper on Dec. 24 and since late Thursday has been sweeping through nearly every corner of the U.S. media. The only problem is that it's probably probably not true.

Using mortars to execute someone doesn’t make much sense. It’s hard to drop a mortar round in EXACTLY the same place twice. There is wear on the tube, wind, differences in the propellant, etc..... A bullet to the head is a lot more sure. And if you are arguing that death by mortar round is a good, clean way to execute people, then perhaps this newspaper should run that idea past the ACLU. Good God, we have American newspapers defending socialists executing people with mortars. Oh, there’s nothing like the joy of hanging tied-up on a post with your guts hanging out on the ground praying that Dear Leader will at least have the mercy to fire another mortar round to finish you off.

Just re-watched (after many, many years) the movie Chitty-Chitty-bang-bang with my grandkids. At one point, the villain in that movie threatened one of the main characters with cutting off their head, stuffing it with sauerkraut, and feeding it to the dogs. In the realm of current events, it was a real slap in the face, especially considering that it was a very old kids movie. Back then, the thought was so outlandish it was humorous. Now days, it's like reading the daily news.
I know of mans inhumanity to man, but with current technology and the redaction of restraint in the world today, it is not even below the surface anymore...

“Direct mortar”? Do they mean a direct hit by a mortar round?
Are they referring to directed fire rather than undirected fire?
Mortars are an “area fire” weapon, aiming to cover an area with multiple rounds, rather than a “direct fire” weapon, a “one shot, one kill” weapon. Occasionally, one round will make a direct hit on a small target. Most often the shrapnel and blast from many rounds will destroy individual targets within the targeted area.

I couldn’t find a source, do you have one? I’m familiar with the NKs referring to the west as *capitalist pig dogs*.

I'll bet there are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of military and government officials, who are secretly, within their own minds, trying to think of a way to dispose of little Kim. They can't think it out loud, and they can't collaborate with others who may have similar thoughts, but, Lil Kim can't be sleeping very comfortably at night. Therefore, he's got to keep his military and government officials on their toes, and worried. But that only serves to make matters worse for Kim.
Kim will get his, sooner of later. It's just a matter of time, but others will get theirs first. Kim might have to eliminate the whole NK population in order to feel any sense of safety or comfort.
