I knew we were in trouble when I heard some of the bozos from the IRS do this in their congressional testimony...cripes!
My big peeves are “off-TEN” instead of “off-phen” for often and the non-use of adverbs, as in “...eat healthy” or “...buy local”...
makes my teeth grind....

Semantically speaking, what tortures me is the repetitive ‘Ya know’ and the continuous use of ‘amazing’. EVERYTHING is ‘amazing’, music, clothes, food, accessories, people who can walk and talk at the same time, the slightest ‘new’ thing! Is everyone SO simple-minded and vacant-brained that they are ‘amazed’ by water and oxygen?
We won’t even get into ‘ know whatI’msayin’ and ‘like’! We have lost the language, verbal and written.
