Is it the work of aliens or practical jokers? An unusual creation has popped up on a farm just south of the Bay Area.
A giant crop circle has appeared on Chualar farm in Salinas, Calif.
Aerial photographer Julie Belanger spotted the crop circle as she was flying over the valley Monday morning.
Belanger took the photo you see here as well as this raw video.
"It was beautiful. Quite beautiful," Belanger told NBC affiliate KSBW. "I believe it's possible that aliens exist, but I don't know if they would bother making a crop circle to give us a message."
Its more likely that its all part of publicity stunt. According to MontereyHerald.com, guards from a South Bay security company were on hand Monday morning on behalf of their client, whose identity they could not reveal.
Adding to the mystery is this YouTube video posted today by user Cannot Say of a couple of friends stumbling upon the crop circle before sunrise.
Elvis Was Abducted!
It’s True!
It’s True !!
a super-secret field team from Intel and Apple did it..
or sumthin’.
Apple TV preview?
For the most part, all elements of the circle are connected, making it easy to see the path taken by the crop circlists. However, a few parts—the three circles around the edge, the equals signs—seem to not be connected to the rest of the circle. Maybe it is just the angle of the photo. I’m curious how the the non-connected parts were made (if they are truly non-connected).
This could not have been done without the help of ancient astronauts. And probably bigfoot.
The circles I’m interested in are not where the crops were laid down. I’m talking about the ones where, if the stalks were steel rebar, it looks like someone melted them just above ground level and they bent. It is the condition of the individual plants in the crop circle that tell the story about the whole circles origin and the relevance of any message it may contain.
This is the attribute of the individual plants in the crop circles I find relevant. Anything else, regardless of accuracy and complexity, is man made.
Also, the circles pre-date 2005 by decades.
Ditto all those cattle mutilations from back in the 70s.
Spaniards?
Crop circles are just a bunch of useless students from where ever. Although the angle of the pressed stocks are curious as to why none are broken. But then they are students.
As if an hyper-intelligent alien entity that can travel the expanses of space and possibly time would bother to make designs in cornfields and nothing else? Please. The movie, "Signs" was fun, but again the invading aliens would give such notice? What a crock.
I cannot say.
OK, where were you last night?
“Crop circles do fascinate me. Plenty of them are hoaxes....”
Do you have much money? If you do, please contact me so we can discuss some financial matters.
I gave my 11YO son a “best of” DVD of Ancient Aliens for Christmas. I’ve been driving him crazy since then by proclaiming “Can’t explain it? Must be Aliens!”
“Plenty of them are hoaxes. Most are really not explainable”
Do you believe that professional wrestling is real too?
Pro wrestling IS real. I saw it on TV.
