Didn’t like Mary Poppins. Even as a little kid, I didn’t like Mary Poppins.
Never seen a Tom Hanks Movie. See no reason to ruin a perfect score like that.
I think I’ll read a book...

The evil abortionist Tom Hanks is in the enemy camp. <<
What Hollywood actor isn't? About 95% of them are Obama-loving socialists. I'd rather spend money on a Tom Hanks film that those foolish conservatives who spent $$$ on Obama's #1 Hollwood fundraiser and pal George cLooney.

Harlan Ellison made a lengthy rebuttal video against this movie, said it’s one big lie only meant to make Walt look good.

I don’t know how they could really make a film about this, since there’s no happy ending with the real story. Travers so despised how the film ended up that she refused to allow any other Mary Poppins stories to be dramatized on film, why there was never any sequels.
To: mylife
It was a wonderful film.
As a child, Mary Poppins was the first film that I wanted to see. I was excited about the story of its making.
The movie was more about P.L. Travers than about Walt Disney. Travers had a painful childhood and had lost her father at a young age. Her books where an attempt to make peace with her past
As a writer I'm fascinated by movies about writing and the act of creating an alternate world. Atonement, and Stranger than Fiction are two examples of changing reality to fit the writer's desired outcome. Saving Mr Banks now joins the list.
To: Mr. Blond
Post the rebuttal.
I liked the film.

To hell with them all, the last movie I went to was almost 60 years ago. That's got me beat. The last Hollywood production I paid to see was Twister in 1996. I did, however, go see Dinesh D'Souza's 2016: Obama's America last year. But I'm pretty sure money from that movie never found its way to the Kenyan's campaign.
I don't care what others do with their own money. But Tom Hanks gave the Marxist bastard Obama $28,500 in 2008. And I take delight in knowing that not one dime of it came from me.

"didn't like...Mary Poppins"
Thanks. I glad someone else didn't like that awful flick. I didn't see it when it came out, but saw much of it a week or so ago on tv. Good grief, what a sappy movie! And I've liked a lot of past Disney movies.

I don’t know, it just had the link to the video, which I originally found via Facebook.
