"I think when it comes to media, the media needs to take responsibility for the effect it has on our younger generation on these girls that are watching these television shows and picking up how to talk and how to be cool," the "American Hustle" star added.
"So all of the sudden being funny is making fun of the girl that's wearing an ugly dress. And the word fat! I just think it should be illegal to call somebody fat on TV. I mean, if we're regulating cigarettes and sex and cuss words because of the effect it has on our younger generation, why aren't we regulating things like calling people fat?"
When Lawrence was first cast as Katniss, a starving teen fighting for her life in a government-arranged reality show, she was criticized for being too full-figured.

Post them and let’s see what kind of reactions we get here. :)
She’s a knockout now, sure. But when she hits 30, she’s going to be a has been. She’s not going to age gracefully like Jennifer Aniston.
SHE’S TWENTY THREE. For pity’s sake. Does anyone really think she’s lobbying for legislation?
When I retire from the USAF, I'll never wear pants again.
(That was actually a topic of conversation at work the other day, and seems to be a common goal.)
No clue who she is, but she has fat hips and a fat face.
That pesky 1st Amendment. FAT is fat. Move more...eat less, fatso.
Everyone has their own definition of "ugliness and mean-spiritedness". The young actress is off on a ridiculous tangent considering the expectations of her profession. Maybe next she'll complain because she's not allowed to pick her own clothing when she plays a particular role.
Or maybe she thinks it should be illegal to require actors to wear specific outfits while portraying a character.
Short legs!
I think adults who defend other adults who want to take away the right to free speech are at the least ignorant and quite possibly much worse..
Because they make you look f*t?
Wife looking at herself in the mirror, asks husband:
"Do these pants make me look fat?"
Thought bubble coming above husband's head: "No, it's your ass that makes you look fat!"
Thought bubbles like those can get you A & E’ed. Careful there.
I saw her this week... at the Louisville Kosair's Children Hospital. She was there on Christmas Eve, visiting sick kids.. for a couple of hours.
DEFINITELY, NOT "fat". Definitely.
She’s so goll-darn pretty . . . too bad that she’s not all that bright.
So, I hope nobody describes Obambi’s rather porcine, thunder-thighed, and thick cankled wife using that term. Actually, “fat” would be kind describing our over-weight grifter-ette FLOTUS.
They want us to accept that offensive talk can influence kids negatively, but don’t even suggest unbridled violent content, and sex filled programing, hasn’t any effect on them.. OK, I get it.. NOT! .. :)
No need to be mean, unless it’s to Rush...
And I think people who are too chicken to come out and say what they think are weak and pathetic
