I don’t listen to Rush.

That's fine. Listening to Rush Limbaugh is not a litmus test for Conservatism. But having seething hatred for the man who has advanced the Constitutional Principles of the Founding Fathers makes one a despicable, evil leftist in the vein of Ted Kennedy.

Rush Limbaugh patterned his delivery after Lujack—used sarcasm, etc. How did Larry feel? He hated, hated, HATED Rush...

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think there's a big, big difference between those ‘traditional’ democrats that grew up decades ago, and who had a father, uncle, or other relative working at Ford, GM, etc., and who supported the democrats because they thought they were for the hard-working ‘little guy’, and the democrats of 2013 - who include the smarmy pseudo-intellectual limousine liberal hypocrites who drink bottled water and expensive wine, and who extol the virtues of Karl Marx as they lounge in luxury. I think Lujack would fit into the former.

Another example of this, again from Chicago, is the late Mike Royko. He was a Chicago democrat, by heritage and demeanor, but in actuality was quite conservative. He wrote a GREAT column about socialized medicine that I think is very relevant today. Here's a link:

Just was mentioning that Rush admitted to borrowing style, presentation, sarcasm from Lujack (who hated Rush’s guts).
You don’t have to be a fan of Rush, but for those, just a bit of trivia. (Rush mentioned the hatred Lujack had for him...)

Talk host Jeff Katz (currently at WRVA Richmond VA) told me on FB that Rush was kinda channeling Lujack even back in his
“Jeff Christie” days in Pittsburgh
