An unmentioned consequence of the overall Obamacare is that money is limited for anyone other than trust-fund beneficiaries when one is young! For many years, a constant beat is that the young needed to save more for their older years, kids education and other reasons. Now, they have this new REQUIRED expense of Obamacare and this will indeed have a strong consequence.

No one can argue that this money must come from somewhere and the truth is that this cost must come from discretionary spending since the health care is a legal requirement! So not only are the young supporting the older health consumer, they are sacrificing their financial future in doing this! Thus more people end up as dependent upon the government and pawns of the benevolent government party? Permanent Democrats?

If there ever was an oxymoron that's nicknamed ObamaCare — also known as the AFFORDABLE CARE ACT — it is not affordable, raises premiums by a minimum of 2X, deductibles by a minimum of 3X, still does not cover everyone, limits your doctors and providers, and opens up all of your most personal and private data to identity theft.

ObamaCare is NOT affordable or necessary; it totally sucks. more proof to the gullible Americans that nothing is as expensive as something supposedly provided “free” by government.

Of course this does not take into account 26ers, subsidy recipients, and medicaid.

Which is where most of the youts will fall into.

Yes it is higher for the young people but it is super high for older folks. I have the premium chart for Los Angeles and Orange Counties. The chart starts with ages 0-20 and they are about $100 a month, going up over $1000 a month for ppl who are 62. It is crazy, it is different by which county you live in. Los Angeles county is divided into to sections and two price points! This chart shows the full prices without subsidies, so it shows the real prices for the policies. But the prices are higher for everyone. My son is 29 and the cheapest policy he could get, individual policy, no subsidy is $163 a month with $6350 annual deductible. Mine, at age 62, would be over a thousand a month. The premiums go up for every year you are older.
