Willie Pete is short for white phosphorus. I don’t think they still fire those rounds anymore, but we used them a lot in VN to mark targets.

I hope that action is started as soon as possible to make sure that when its time for Willy Pete to retire that he be allowed to come to the United States for his work protecting our Marines.

Amazing he’s so clever and seems to know what he’s doing without formal training.

The big difference is that Kerry gave himself the purple heart, you and other honorable recipients EARNED your Purple Hearts!

I highly recommended to my daughter who lives alone to get a dog as a first alarm system. Dogs always give an initial alert as to an intruder which gives you the time to grab a weapon. Thankfully we live in Texas where intruders who are not welcomed or come with bad intentions are allowed to be dealt with by protecting yourself and property.

Wise recommendation. I have a two part four footed early warning and prevention system; one's an 85lb. Pitador and the other's a 110 lb. Great Dane. May I suggest a Dane for your daughter? They're loving, quite gentle, and very impressive. If she's not married the doggie will help her attract guys with good intentions and do a great job of repelling those with bad intentions.

I second that recommendation. I have a friend who had two great Danes and they were both very intelligent in discerning the hearts of men, lol...and very gentle and loving with family.
When I was young I had a lab/dane, and if they had filmed another Hound of the Baskervilles he would have been perfect. I’m like Butterbean and he could knock me down with ease...ginormous. But very gentle and intelligent dog.
I left the back door into the high fenced yard open 24-7, whether I was home or not. On his hind legs he was six inches taller than me, with the heavy body of the lab. I never got broke into.

Mine is quite gentle and polite with strangers too. I’ve never had any anger or truly fearful responses from any of the trades people or delivery people who often come here. Indeed, they all like him and my Pitador. Of course, someone who approached with evil in mind is likely to have a very different response to my two large doggies, and might well be seriously mauled by them if he tried to break in and menace me.

:-) Well, it was one that I was not out there looking for!!

He sure looks like he’s a Kuchi or Kangal, or perhaps a mix.
Awesome dogs, not to be trifled with.
