NOOOO!
I’ve been using Winamp since 96. It’s been with me from high school through college, grad school, and now I have to find something new?
*sob*
Best bet is VLC Media Player. Free. Not as pretty, but they play just about anything out there. No spyware, adware, or user tracking.

Here are the formats they play.

Bummer. Not that I’ve been using it of late, my primary use has been as a tv app with an add-on that worked just fine with a very old Hauppauge TV card.
It started freezing, on me, but I think it was a combo of MS updates and what turned out to be a flaky Creative sound card.
The other use was online listening. It was stable when FF releases stared messing their add-ons.
I’ll miss the “psychedelic” interpretations, and other real features, but I’ll still use it until it becomes more of a hindrance than a benefit.
FWIW, K-Lite’s Media Player supports a heck of a lot of formats, albeit not as polished presentation-wise.
Some things we just get attached to.
Ya, same here... :/ Had just recommended it to someone last weekend,, he downloaded and installed... His response to me was, “WOW, I didn’t know a laptop could sound so good!”
:/
Oh.. and it beats the heck out of Linux’s Amerok... hate that app :p
Why?
