Bummer. Not that I’ve been using it of late, my primary use has been as a tv app with an add-on that worked just fine with a very old Hauppauge TV card.

It started freezing, on me, but I think it was a combo of MS updates and what turned out to be a flaky Creative sound card.

The other use was online listening. It was stable when FF releases stared messing their add-ons.

I’ll miss the “psychedelic” interpretations, and other real features, but I’ll still use it until it becomes more of a hindrance than a benefit.

FWIW, K-Lite’s Media Player supports a heck of a lot of formats, albeit not as polished presentation-wise.

I use Winamp for music and MPC for video, I don’t see that changing for a long time.

What OS are you using? TV Tuner cards, especially with windoww xp, were notorious for having IRQ issues when paired with a soundcard. Certain PCI slots shared IRQ’s in windows and this made playback a nightmare.

I stopped using Winamp with the release of Windows 7 and DLNA streaming in Mediaplayer and Mediacenter. Havent looked back since. Still sad so see Winamp go.
