So sorry. We have one that is failing and we will be facing the problem soon. I pray everyday he goes in his sleep in his petbed.

I am so sorry. It is hard to lose a beloved pet, they are part of the family.

Sorry for the loss of your furry friend. Prayers that you be comforted. It just isn't fair that our animal companions get such a short time, compared to ours.

It is wonderful that you rescued, and provided such a loving home for your doggie throughout her years with you.

God Bless you.

Losing my dog was like losing a family member. We got another one about 6 months later and I swear it’s the same dog. He was housebroken at 10 weeks. When we brought him home the cats looked at him as if to say “Where have you been?” He has the same mannerisms. Three vets have told me they see it all the time. Here’s a poem that helped me.

ST. PETER
I explained to St. Peter that I’d rather stay here
Outside the pearly gate.
I won’t be a nuisance, I won’t even bark.
I’ll be very patient and wait.
I’ll be here, chewing on a celestial bone
No matter how long you may be.
I’d miss you so much if I went in alone
It wouldn’t be heaven for me.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Dogs are truly incredible. They’re more than pets; they’re companions. My daughter has a rescue dog that is getting up in years. Not sure of its age but it’s probably north of 10. It was mistreated when it young but, like your dog, has had a wonderful life since being rescued. I dread its passing because my daughter will be devastated. Thank you for giving your dog a good life.

I’m so very sorry, taxcontrol. I know there’s nothing anyone can say that will relieve your pain right now, but I’ll be praying that the Lord Gives you comfort somehow.
Y’All were a Blessing to her.

He is warm and happy now. He's had a couple of baths, a couple of shots and he doesn't know it but he hit the lottery and so did I.

You da man :-)

Sorry to hear of the loss of your Daisy. She’s probably playing at the Rainbow Bridge with some of my furbabies that have passed on.

Trust me; she is still chasing the squirrel at the RAINBOW BRIDGE and just waiting for you to join in the games.
Thank God that dogs go to Heaven with us.

"They Know."

I think that any creature's inborn survival instincts are in fact, an acknowledgement of its Creator. Not perhaps, "an awareness of God," in the sense a human is aware, but a more raw, genuine, sincere, unsophisticated sense that each and every critter is here for some purpose bigger than itself.

Yes, it’s normal and it’s OK. My MOM just died at 87 years, she was tired and just decided it was time.
doesn’t mean I don’t love her and miss her; it was just time.

Good luck with that; I am a 63 year old former Marine. I have had to type this 3 times. I still miss my old Rolly, my old Runt and my big Jackie.

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious fur baby Daisy. I as many know how much it hurts to lose our babies. I lost my precious Maya, a Carin Terrier we rescued from deplorable conditions. We found her in an abandoned outside kennel in the middle of January in Ohio with below 0 wind chill with no food and a bowl of frozen water. It took 3 baths just to remove the stench from the poor baby. She was with us for 3.5 short years before her little body just gave out. We lost her this past July 10, 2013. She would have been 13 yrs old this past September if she had lived. We miss her dearly and she will forever be in our hearts.

We did bring a Cairn puppy in to our home and hearts. She will never replace our Maya, but she does give us hope and happiness. Moreover, she looks so much like our Maya, it is almost like our girl from the Rainbow Bridge sent her to us.

God Bless you and your family! You will in time exchange the tears with smiles and wonderful memories of your baby. And when you are ready may you open your heart to another fur baby who needs a forever home.

A Dog’s Last Will & Testament

Before humans die, they write their last will and testament, giving their home and all they have to those they leave behind. If, with my paws, I could do the same, this is what I’d ask…

To a poor and lonely stray I’d give my happy home; my bowl and cozy bed, soft pillow and all my toys; the lap, which I loved so much; the hand that stroked my fur; and the sweet voice that spoke my name.

I’d will to the sad, scared shelter dog the place I had in m human’s loving heart, of which there seemed no bounds.

So, when I die, please do not say, “I will never have a pet again, for the loss and the pain is more than I can stand.”

Instead, go find an unloved dog, one whose life has held no joy or hope, andgive my place to him.

This is the only thing I can give…

The love I left behind.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Our angel is getting along in years and also was a rescue. I swear she sleeps most of the day just so she can push herself and us to go for a stroll in the evenings together. May God give you comfort now until you meet over the Rainbow Bridge.

Just heard on a movie today: You don’t pick your dog, YOUR DOG PICKS YOU!

Daisy was a good Picker!

Thank God for the time you shared your love with each other. Such a Blessing from God.
