Sad news today. My best dog Daisy passed this afternoon. She will be missed.
We got her as a rescue. Someone had thrown here out of a car, she had mange, needed stitches and lots of TLC when we found her some 8 years ago. We adopted her and gave her a good home. She went out this morning and chased that pesky squirrel on the fence. After lunch, we found her by the fire place in her "puppy dreams" sleeping pose.
I’m sorry. I know the heartache, believe me; it’s happened too many times. We try to console ourselves with the knowledge that we give our beloved dogs a happy life and deep love, but it’s hard, anyway. The only comfort is the knowledge that we’ll see them again. (And I don’t care what my priest says, creatures made by God’s love aren’t just going to conk out and have no reward for their lives here. They will be with us in the afterlife.) So that’s something to look forward to.
So sorry.... One of the most painful things we must do in this world is to say goodbye to our faithful dogs ... It has been 5 years for me and I still think of my special get daily
I’m sorry and know how you feel. : (
My condolences on your loss. I have been in this situation far too many times, yet I go back for more. I think it is because and animals heart is so much bigger and they are willing to share it with us. Please think about getting another. I now have 2 Pomeranians as well as 2 cats. (see tagline) I know Sandy would approve! :)
Losing a pet is very painful emotionally. I’m happy to read that despite her unfortunate past Daisy was rescued and found such a warm, loving home.
God bless you always, but especially this time of your loss of Daisy.
I feel your pain, took me 20 years to get another pooch. When you are going through hell and your best friend is a husky/wolf when she dies a big part of you is gone. I have about 6 holes in me right now.
So sorry! At least she was home, and had been doing what she loved.
Losing those you love is never easy. This time of year it is heart wrenching. We’ve lost several 4 legged friends. Now we love from a distance. Older in age, we would not wish to leave them behind after we departed. In younger days, we would take them all into our home. At present, it wouldn’t be fair to them. If there are no dogs in heaven, it can’t be heaven.

Your furry love is playing with some of my best friends now until we can be with them again.
The blurry screen appears to be spreading.
Someone post the ‘rainbow briDge’ poem. I wouldn’t be able to read this screen for an hour if I did.
You will be reunited at the rainbow bridge. Hang in there.
My heart goes out to you. God bless you for giving her a loving home
and may He and your memories comfort you during this bittersweet time.
My sincere condolences.
Daisy arrived safely in the rolling green hills. She is very happy and making many new friends here. She has found a whole bunch of squirrels to chase and she is patiently waiting for you to arrive so that you can all play together again.
I’m sorry for your loss. We’ll all be together at the Rainbow Bridge....
I’m so sorry.
