A North Korean army minister was executed with a mortar round for reportedly drinking and carousing during the official mourning period after Kim Jong-il's death.
On the orders of Kim Jong-un to leave "no trace of him behind, down to his hair," according to South Korean media, Kim Chol was forced to stand on a spot that had been zeroed in for a mortar round and "obliterated."

Just re-read the article. It was about a 2012 execution, not the Jang execution earlier this week. Maybe I need new glasses.

I heard he ripped the “Do not remove under penalty of law” tag off his mattress...

leave "no trace of him behind, down to his hair," Could we use this revolutionary inventive method on our own bad comedians, celebrities and TV pundits?

How do you force someone to stand in a certain place?
As soon as the guys forcing me to stand someplace took off, I would be booking out of there also.
At least that would be my basic strategy.

That’s probably a merciful death.

A few years back I got talking to several South Korean businessmen in a hotel lobby in Dubai. At one point I told them that I’d be fascinated to get the chance to visit North Korea. The looks on their faces were something to behold...they were dumbfounded.Stunned,actually.We didn’t get to continue the chat because their car arrived at that point.

Well, there is foreign tourism. The tourists have to abandon mobiles at the airport and are always accompanied by a local KGB interpreters. You cannot walk by yourself, have to spend your time according to a timetable (8 am getting up - visiting monument 1 - 12 00 lunch, etc.) You can visit only shops for foreigners. Very expensive service.
Here are some photos by a Russian who had this pleasure.

How do you force someone to stand in a certain place? Usually with a rope and a stake.

On the orders of Kim Jong-un to leave "no trace of him behind, down to his hair," They should have dressed him up as a fat fresh cooked turkey and dropped him in a crowd. The people would have devoured him like piranha.
