They Know that they are Human too and are not perfect as this list would suggest.
Just a little nitpick with her terminology. I wouldn’t call it mental strength I would call it mental and emotional balance. People who do the things she lists are unbalanced and it is the strength of their minds that makes those negative patterns hard to break out of.
Yet another “author” telling us all what to do and how to do it.
16. They don’t vote for someone because of his color
Are you by chance triskaidekaphobic?
14) They don’t actually exist?
Good list
Good grief. No wonder things are such a mess. People used to be raised on this stuff as in the way people were supposed to be, not some distinction like “mental strength”. As if it were something special. (I figured this was the meaning of the term, “values”.)
It’s kinda sad that someone would write an article about this as if it were some kind of revelation.
“Thanks for the post.
I was unjustly fired last week and have been sitting here feeling sorry for myself and very angry.
Not saying it will continue but something to think about.”
Nothing wrong with that as long as you do get over it and move on. I’m experiencing the same emotions over a relationship. I’m praying about it and trying to remember, this too shall pass.
Part of the problem was me being mentally strong and her not being. I’m thinking I’m better off but it sure doesn’t feel that way right now.
Prayers up for you that you find a new job soon.
This is why conservatives have repeatedly failed
That is a great list. All true.
You’ve been grieving the loss, especially if it’s a job you’ve had for a long time. That’s not “feeling sorry for yourself.” That’s normal.
Ah...you fail to grasp the third part of the “Serenity Prayer”: The wisdom to know the difference.
It’s also common sense, but in the heat of an unpleasant situation, level-headedness doesn’t always prevail. You have closed your door to toxic influences and married a wonderful partner. Your home is a haven of peace and love. You and she did build that, and you both know how blessed you are. I salute the sensible!
I guess that rules out my having an affair with you? (Miss Slippy is next to me laughing at what I wrote! We’re also very touched by what you wrote. Thank you very much, sister.)
My dear brutha from anotha Mutha, let Miss Slippy know that you’d be way too tired to have an affair after you helped me find my wig, my glass eye, my hearing aids, my prosthetic appendages, etc. Please give her a huge, gentle hug for me!
Ditto that..............
Hey! Miss Slippy and I resemble that remark! We have prosthetic appendages too!
Bump!
