SD, an always .500 team:

Norv Turner’s last 50 games: 25-25.
Mike McCoy’s first 14 games: 7-7.

SD should be better than that, same as DAL.

Did people see this hit on the Cincinnati punter Huber?? It happened during the punt return and was basically a blind-side helmet to helmet hit and it did not get flagged. I think it looks bad, the punter got a cracked vertebrae and broken jaw!

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/bengals-punter-huber-reportedly-done-season-broken-jaw-223637096—nfl.html

Video at the web page. Maybe I’m wrong, I think it looks like it should at least get a good-sized fine.

I heard this earlier. WOW!

The poor guy got f**ked up; should result in a huge fine.

Poor bastard. I feel bad for punters, there is no glory for them (like good kickers get, a kicker even won MVP once in the 80’s!) and the others don’t seem to regard them as football players.

Of course if you’re playing Dallas you don’t even need one.

BAL with the upset over DET; helps CHI.

2 weeks in a row .... my amateur luck ran out. le bon chance de la novicio!

MIA has now clinched the 3-way tie with MIA-BALT-SD
(BALT has the 2-way tie.) Jets are out, even tho PITT is counting on Jets to win out and bounce Miami.

I don’t consider it an upset though I’m sure Det was the points favorite.

It was an upset in my book. Schwartz will be fired - watch.

Teams actually played defense this game, WTF? How refreshing.

What a kick. Bears and Packers control their fate now. If both can win next week they play for the division. Bears go to Philly, Sunday Night game. Packers have an easier game, host the fighting Rapeslethbergers (I didn’t realize they are still just barely alive for the playoffs). Aaron Rodgers watch.

Detroit needs both teams to lose or the Bears to lose but then beat GB. They host the pathetic Pygmies and go to MN in Week 17, MN is playing better lately but DET should win both those games. Of course the Packers and Bears should have also won in MN and did not. Bears can clinch in the unlikely event they win and GB and DET both lose next week. DET is eliminated with a loss to the Pygmies who badly stink. 2 SBs and Coughlin is still always on the firing block after a bad year. The story is the same too “the team isn’t responding to him anymore”. I wonder how he’d look in Dallas.

Schwartz fired? Well, everything was set up for DET this year, if they had their stuff together they would have run away with it. If Aaron Rodgers wasn’t hurt GB would have run away with it. If the Bears D wasn’t injured and putrid they could have run away with it. Weak division this year, but still better than the east.

“Teams actually played defense this game, WTF? How refreshing.”

I totally agree, it was nice to see.

Schwartz: Toast. Like you said, he had everything lined up to run away with the division.

Coughlin: He’s getting up there in age; would he want to move? Can any coach be successful in DAL with Jerr-Bear running everything?

Aaron Rodgers: I’d leave Flynn in; seems he’s at his best in green & gold.

It’s only going to be the division winner from the Black and Blue Division; too many other NFC teams have superior records. That frigging tie might end up making the difference for GB, although I have more faith in CHI to succeed; they have a better HC than they did in previous years.

Two weeks in a row, no defensive stops in the second half.

How is this team 7-7?

How has this team not one anything in almost 60 years...

I'd take Jerry Jones over this loser...any day, any way.

...at least he(Jones)is out there taking the heat when the 'boys drop a turd.

I expected Stafford to take the next step this season, as of now, he hasn’t delivered.

“How is this team 7-7?”

They’ve taken care of bizness against their division, 4-0 with 2 to play. Their other wins are Oakland, Minn, and STL, all at home. Caught Philly in a bad stretch when they had no offense. So the answer is “easy schedule”.

“Can any coach be successful in DAL with Jerr-Bear running everything?”

Well no clearly not.

Jerry needs to fire himself but of course he will not. The team is his toy, which is his perfect right but that sucks for Cowboys fans.

Old man Couglin is a hard-nosed ***hole, that kind of coach might be what Dallas needs (Bill Parcells didn’t win there though), maybe what Detroit needs even more, Dallas would settle for competence. He could retire I guess. If he is canned and wants another job I think he’ll get one.

Lions haven't had a decent QB since Greg Landry...Stafford never impressed me, he's just about killed CJ on multiple occasions with his throw-it-up-for-grabs crap.

They can change the personnel all they want...the NFL needs to take a serious look at keeping this franchise in the league, they are that bad of an organization.

If it's a New York or L.A. or one of the NFL darlings...they'd have stepped in long ago...if you're a "Detroit" or "Cleveland"...then so long as people are stupid enough to support these teams...the league simply turns a blind-eye to their futility.

mr imp,
my tiebreaker charting is failing its impact, if even thou don’t see the meaning.

PITT .8-8...... NYJ 8-8...... SD 8-8
BALT 8-8.... MIA 8-8

PITT HAS tie over BAL and NYJ has tie over MIA.
PITT gets the 3-way tie PITT-NYJ-SD. (or the 2-way vs NYJ)

I need to add CINCY to the wildcard chart. They lose out to MIA at 9-7 and go home.
