I actually think this clown has done us a favor of sorts: these sign language hucksters are just for show anyway, designed to make the organizers of a given event look compassionate. It’s always been a form of applied liberalism.

I think this guy was mocking the entire charade…..a caricature of itself.

Maybe in some cases, but I live in an areas with a High deaf population. We also have the only re-creation of Shakespeare's Black Friar theater. Once a season they bring in deaf interpreters for each play and get a tremendous response. Also Most of the Churches have interpreters for one service/ week. But as I said we have a very large deaf population due to having a Deaf school here.

It’s always been a form of applied liberalism.

Years ago someone suggested fitting deaf kids with cochlear implants. There was a huge outcry against it from, of all people, the advocates for the deaf!
The thinking was that the kids would be removed from the deaf "community" and somehow injure them; giving the deaf the sense of hearing deprived them of some wonderful gift.

It dawned on me that these satanic bastards had created a protected class and curing these kids deprived them of the necessary clientele for their power base; something akin to the black "leaders" who oppose white parents adopting black children.

Especially when the signer is practically on top of the speaker. I find it very distracting. For the viewing audience, a small pop-up screen could be provided, and, for those in attendance, the signer could stand off to the side.
