With the death of Nelson Mandela two days ago, and now we hear of Billy Graham's condition in decline. This will make for major media news if he passes within a week or so. Two of the most influential individuals of our lifetime, not only passing in the same period, they were born four months apart, born in July and November 1918.

Billy Graham would scold you. He isn’t the hope, Jesus Christ is the hope.

Thank you. From the article, if I may.... "He got an infection right after his birthday and he just hasn't been able to get his strength back," his son [Franklin Graham] told the station at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, N.C. "His vitals are good, he's just extremely weak."

But his obedience to his calling is a great example of being sold out for Christ

When Billy Graham dies, you won’t see all of the unabashed “he walked among us” fawning that’s currently going on.

Not the same day. Lady Di died on 8-31-97. Mother Teresa passed away on 9-5-97.

When Rev. Graham passes, he won’t generate nearly the hoopla of Mandela. The media has its darlings, and a man of God like Rev. Graham is not one of them

Nelson Mandela in Malcolm X (1982) with Wendell Pierce who was in Beyond all Boundaries (2009) with Kevin Bacon.
So Mandela’s bacon number is 2
Billy Graham was in The Ride (1997) with Jennifer Blanc who was in Balto 1995 with Kevin Bacon
So Graham’s bacon number is 2
Barak Obama has a bacon number of infinity because there is no motion picture that can connect the two.

and when you think of the Stature/Admiration of Billy Graham, yet Al Sharpton thinks he is a Reverend?

Mother Theresa was overshadowed by Di’s death. Pity.

Mother Teresa died in the midst of the great Kleenex fest that was Diana’s funeral. It really provided food for thought to those who noticed.

Remember when Lady Di and Mother Teresa died on the same day?I remember when Farah Fawcett and Michael Jackson died the same day. Everyone said, Farah who?

According to my sources in the entertainment industry (cousin in Los Angeles connected to major labels)(seriously!) Sir Elton John himself has composed a (partly recycled) commemorative new tune for Nelson Mandela (Gaia Bless Him for This!) (credit for the poetic lyrics to the always dependable Bernie Taupin) entitled “Burning Tire in the Wind”.

Oh, I remember that well, however, Mother Teresa probably preferred not to be in the limelight, anyway, and she was friendly with Lady Di too. And I imagine MT probably would not have selected to be paraded around the streets of Calcutta, like she was, but what could she do?!
