Not sure I’d stress about the pipes. It won’t stay cold for long. I lived in Michigan for 45 years. A few times, it got so cold pop cans would explode in the garage, but I never had any pipes freeze. There’s often enough residual heat from the walls to keep the water warm.

Pipes can often freeze but not burst. I just got back inside from propane-torching one of my outside faucets that was froze. I had it set to drip, but guess not enough.

Generally, it takes a hard freeze to burst pipes. We’re talking low teens or single digits.

If you go sub-zero, and your pipes are not protected, kiss them goodbye!!

One trick with any outside faucets (for the garden hose), is to tie a cover over it ( video). If you don't want to buy a special cover, a large styrofoam cup works too.
