According to a poll released by the Pew organization, The public thinks that the nation does too much to solve world problems, and increasing percentages want the U.S. to "mind its own business internationally" and pay more attention to problems here at home.

You can count me in with those who believe we should mind our own business in world affairs. We have wasted far too much tax payer money on “protecting” the rest of the world.

The concept of foreign aid and similar overseas expenditures does, in theory, have some validity in securing US interests, persons and property.

The problem is the malcontents elected and appointed to administer such matters view their offices as a means feathering their own nests and promoting their personal interests and agendas rather than what is truly in the national interest.
