I can tell you who ain't aging gracefully and that's Natalie Merchant. We went to see her in concert with... a local symphony orchestra recently and she was like a nutty little cat lady.
Totally affected by... something.

Sad to see Blondie getting so old. She was the epitome of cool at that time.
When I see celebrities, like Bowie, etc., looking that crappy--I know there are no plastic surgery, anti-aging options that really work. Unless you wanna look like Stretch Pelosi.

Some of them no longer with us, like Patty Donahue of the Waitresses (”I Know What Boys Like”, “Christmas Wrapping”)
I remember in the 70s MAD magaazine did a feature where they used photo retouching (these days it would be photoshopping?) showing the Beatles in their 70s. They didn’t know at the time John would die at 40 and George at 58

Sad to see Blondie getting so old. She was the epitome of cool at that time. Debbie Harry was already well in her thirties when Blondie hit it big. I saw pictures of her back when she was a hippy chick in the 60s, and she was stunning back then.

Thanks for posting. Graduated HS in the 80’s, and loved this music. Walk down memory lane.:)

She trained in opera, you know. That is why her voice was so amazingly powerful. Great singer.

Billy Idol looks a little scary but then he always did. Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders....I dunno, she seems to need better hair and makeup in that picture.

Proof that being lead singer of Genesis will make you bald.

I went to a showing of Urgh a few months ago. One of the things that really struck me was how many women were in the wave/punk scene at the time, and how many of them were doing really creative interesting stuff. Made me sad for what’s happened to women in rock since then, now they’re pretty much just cookie cutter divas and the casual listener can’t even tell one from the other.

Chrissie Hynde doesn’t look to happy about the fact that her surviving claim to fame is being Rush’s theme song...
