Richland County, (Columbia) SC A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing Sunday.
Edward William Bright, 47, was charged with assault and battery second degree in connection with the incident, Richland County Sheriffs Department spokesman Sgt. Curtis Wilson said.
Just after 6 p.m. in the 300 block of Lakeridge Parkway, deputies found two men who had allegedly argued over dinnerware to use for a meal when one of the men stabbed the other with a steak knife, Wilson said.
The man who was stabbed several times in the upper body was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Wilson said.

Plus he is probably a bad breaker upper. No doubt he has been stabbed in the forehead with a fork.

Agreed. I’d also suspect that the dinnerware was just a convenient “outlet” for other, likely long-standing grudges and resentments. I’ve seen it happen in some of my own extended family. Nothing so serious as physical violence, but several serious screaming matches that had nothing to do with what the two were actually arguing about at that moment.

No, no, no. Proper etiquette dictates a duel with a single shot pistol at thirty paces over such dinnerware disputes.

He had rather sharp feelings about not getting his cut but, he did get his point across.
I’m thinking the air was so thick he actually thought he could cut it with a knife or maybe he was killing time.

I can see arguing over flatware. Never dinnerware.

I can understand the stabbers rage if someone put out a meal on those flimsy styrofoam plates. I hate them more than I do ear aches or the designated hitter rule.
