Pinging the list.

So sorry. I had intended to send Johnny a freep mail to let him know that I might be delayed, and ask if he would post for me, if I didn't get done in time.

This was the only day that I could get my eyes checked prior to my Doctor's appointment on Monday; I sure did not want to hit the road on black Friday. I almost NEVER go out on black Friday. I was dreading it.

Turns out it wasn't too bad, I guess the big crush was on Thursday night and this AM. It wasn't too crowded, and I even managed to get a space close to the door. I was at the vision center for 5 hours.

Long story short, there were problems with their computers etc. Then I had forgotten about the dilation thing and needing to have a driver or wait. Boy oh Boy, I also forgot that those drops sting like crazy.

Thanks to improvement in my distant vision, my RX has changed again. I am no longer required to wear glasses for driving, yahoo! However, I do see better with glasses, until my right eye improves again.

We had a great Thanksgiving. Lots of food. Surprised my daughter with some home grown rosemary for the turkey. She says it is powerful compared to what she usually gets at the store.

Had some stir fry with homegrown onions and peppers on Wednesday. Still picking some persimmons each day to eat one or two. Nothing beats a fresh one off the tree.LOL

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, and will enjoy the weekend. Have a wonderful weekend. God Bless.

I was pretty smug about my home grown rosemary for my turkey too! Hubby got a kick out of me being so proud of something so simple.

Oh, I know what you mean about the stinging drops. Hate them. And my eyes stay dilated so long.

Sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, though.

Thanks for the ping.

Not much different to report from central Texas. Turnips are almost ready for harvesting. Cold air is finally gone though. It's over 50 here this morning.

I gave our daughter and SIL two pots of rosemary when they were here a few months ago. I found several limbs that were laying on dirt and they had a good root system, so I potted them. She was very happy to have cheap, fresh rosemary, rather than the store bought stuff.

Glad you survived the eye drops and your eyesight is better.

I sent hubby and son to Walmart for their Thursday night tv sales. We’d been reduced to a old 13” one and can’t read the menu or news scrolls. They were in and out of Walmart in 5 minutes!

I was going to stuff stockings with homemade jelly but need the cabinet space so sent everyone home with several jars.

Well I finally did manage to get my garlic in. Tilled up the patch on Saturday and planted yesterday. I need to get it under some mulch but my compost heap is pretty much used up. I suppose I’ll have to make a trip to the horse college for some stall sweepings but my trailer is tied up at the sawmill. Maybe rent a dump trailer next weekend if I can get the starter for my loader tractor fixed by then. That would take a lot of work out of that project for sure.
