With great sadness and tribute I write to tell of the passing of Earl “One Lung” McClung, one of the original Band of Brothers. Earl died at his home in Pueblo West, Colorado, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 27, 2013.
He was 90.

My Father was in the 502nd at the same time and fought the same Battles, Carenten, Holland, The Bulge, ending up at Hitlers Hideaway. There is a famous picture of Ike talking to the Paratroops before D-Day and I found out the Guy standing next to the Lt. Ike was talking too was his Platoon Sgt. Bill Boyle. Boyles uniform is at the Careten Musaum in France and they also have my Dads Paratrooper boots.http://www.paratrooper-museum.org/
