"Must-have" Prepper App!

I was directed to a very useful app for the Prepper community. It's name is Canary, and it is useful in that it allows an alert Prepper to see if the system is in a collapse- or free-fall situation.
It tracks the following items:
- Metals prices.
- Near Earth Orbit events.
- Seismic events.
- Pandemic events.
- Regional conflict events.
- Solar and other meteorological events.
- Severe weather events.
- Stock market prices.
- Ammunition prices.
- Breaking news.
- Tips and tricks are also offered.
It looks reasonably useful. I am in contact with the author and have suggested a Google Maps traffic road-load option. Google Maps does a good job with that, and it would be good to have online maps available anyways, just in case the grid stays up for a while.
This is a worthwhile endeavor. I cannot test it personally since I do not have a Smart Phone. I decided some time back, the dumber the phone, the better I like it. I have a simple $4.00 clamshell that I would think nothing of chucking into a river if I needed to.
But for those who like more expensive phones, this is something quite useful.

My cell phone is not a totally fancy one. It can hook to the net but I would have to pay more for that feature so I don’t have it. Frankly, I hate phones because they interrupt what I’m doing to answer the freaking thing. In a perfect world, I’d get rid of my house phone and cell phone.
So, I don’t know about apts. Is there a website also for this info.? If there isn’t, then as you say, “I’m screwed.”

Did your friend mention when it might be available for iPad? I, like you use a prehistoric cell (only because my wife put it on her contract. Since we live in the country she thought it would be a good thing to have in the car if it broke down). I went to the app store and searched “canary” and only came up with a load of apps either for birdwatchers or for people touring the Canary Islands.

I don’t think a clamshell is any safer than anything else these days. The whole thing is theater. JMHO.

I’m torn about getting this one.
I know that Fedzilla already has a six-digit grid on me wherever I go, so OPSEC is blown to hell and gone. I also know they have detailed records of everything I’ve purchased since I got married.
But it doesn’t mean I have to make it easy on them.
