Yep, I've been searching since before we even moved (hubby got transferred to a new city) that was over a month ago and still no luck. I gave up looking for something in my field and started looking at retail - thinking that if he gets transferred again I'd have a better chance of transferring too... This experience has been an "eye opener" for sure. It's been a very long time since I had to search for work.
I went back and reapplied with fictitious information just to get a screen grab... the question is neatly tucked in with an Ernst & Young tax credit questionnaire under the questions about having received TANF and are you a US resident.....

The TANF question makes sense, since employers get a tax credit for hiring former TANF recipients. Answering "No" on "US Resident" would prompt a question about whether you are legally allowed to be employed in the US.
A large percentage of people employed in drug stores are covered by their spouse's or parent's health insurance, which reduces costs for the store.

The employer is trying to establish if they will qualify for a WOTC credit if then hire you.
Essentially, the Federal tax code “pays” the employer to hire certain people (in the form of a tax credit) to assist them in getting back into the workforce.

It is an Obama(don’t)care question that is why it is tucked in the tax credit area. They get state and federal tax breaks for hiring certain people.

Are you in TX? (I see that mentioned on the questionnaire.) Much of Texas is on a hiring frenzy.
