Nothing like a government-defined mental disorder. What does that sound like?

Boyhood is now a mental disease.

Less ritalin and more running around.

Over 90% of boys are more likely to turn out to be boys. Who would have guessed.

Let me explain something. When a child is diagnosed with a disorder, very often the parent will be eligible for a monthly social security check to help that child.

Result? Some truly needy children get help. But also, scams galore! In some neighborhoods there are people who will, for a fee, coach a child on how to "fail" a disorder test.

Child fails test, parent gets monthly checks. Everybody's happy. Except, of course, the taxpayers. But who cares about them?

I had ADHD and my father had the treatment for it. The problem it was hard to sit down after one of his treatments.

“Less ritalin and more running around.”

Ritalin is not the psychotropic drug of choice
for most cases these days. And, if running
around was all the boys did it would be great.
Unfortunately they tend to grab everything in
sight putting you, them, and the object they
grab in peril. I have worked in a residential
Tx facility for 16 yrs, including 5 yrs as a
woodshop instructor. I have seen tons of ADHD
and every other affliction.

If a kid can play x-box for 5 hours straight, he ain’t got ADHD.

I was in first grade many years ago: I spent about half of that year in the hall. If the schools had had this whole ADHD thing back then to fall back on, I’m sure I’d have been dosed with Ritalin (or something) and never gone on to achieve the things I have achieved. BUT, the girls would have done just great!

Sounds like they are preemptively stripping a significant percentage of the population of their right to keep and bear arms based on trumped up metal health issues. These are probably just boys being boys, refusing to be sissy-fied.

I had never heard of ADHD until about 15 years ago when my daughter was in a private school. A number of the boys there were on Ritalin. It seems to be quite a “designer” disease.

“The CDC describes ADHD symptoms as follows: “A child with ADHD might: daydream a lot, forget or lose things a lot, squirm or fidget, talk too much, make careless mistakes or take unnecessary risks, have a hard time resisting temptation, have trouble taking turns, have difficulty getting along with others””

This fake disease is causing millions of young boys to be medicated in a way has side effects and creates other problems.

When I was growing up there were literally NO children with ADHD. Less than 5% of children were overweight compared to 30%-40% today. There were no gay teenagers “coming out”. Serious violence among children and teens was extremely rare.

The liberals are destroying Americas boys and young men.

If I had been born 30 years later, there is no question they would have tried to drug me. Thank God I wasn’t. This will not end well.

When my son was in 3rd grade, his teacher, in her first job straight out of college, during the parent teacher conference told me my son was “ADD” and I needed to get him on Ritalin immediately. She had the school counselor, who did NOT have anything beyond a Bachelor’s degree there. At the time, I was a low-income, divorced mom. I guess she thought she could intimidate me. She thought wrong. I pinned their ears back. Maybe she should have picked the mom who wasn’t doing a thesis on the over-prescription of methylhenidate and it’s effect on our kids.
He was finishing up the homework within 5 minutes and at age 8 did not like to sit quietly and read while the other kids were working.

In the old days, we called them brats. The majority outgrew their bratness and are now executives at all the major corporations in America.

When the kids are designated ADHD a welfare family gets more and the school also gets more. There are big outside pre$$ures, here.

A pharma company also gets to sell the medication which is often chemical analogues to method, etc.

This is a War on Boys, a pussification of the USA and western culture in general. It is a way to chemically straitjacket people who otherwise resist the hypercontrolling , dictatorial ways of wrong-headed Utopians and haters of freedom and limited government.
