Located just 50 miles north of New York City, sits Petra, a heart-shaped island that now belongs to Brad Pitt, after Angelina reportedly shelled out £12.2million to buy it for his 50th birthday.
Pitt is apparently an architect fanatic, so when Jolie discovered that the island's only two homes were designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, she was sold. Pitt once said,When I discovered Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Frank Lloyd Wright, it changed my life.
A source revealed that as soon as Angelina heard the island was on the market she arranged a viewing. She was really impressed. The house is perfect for romantic getaways or as a family retreat. Its very private. And Angelina knows the fact the island is in the shape of a heart will mean so much to him."
The 11-acre island has a helicopter pad and boasts vast expanses of stone, cement, mahogany and skylights. The first cottage was put up in 1950, nine years before Wrights death. The main house was constructed in 2008 from a Wright plan and is reportedly one of his most spectacular designs.

LOLOLOL! So it takes leaking skylights to be properly Wrightian. From the same Wiki article:
If the purists' objections seem petty, it's because the little things matter a great deal to Wright's fans.
It's because Wright's fans don't have to live in Wright's houses.

It looks like an airline terminal. It shows that people tire of the same thing easily.
When they tired of Victorian intricacies, they turned to Art Deco and the modernists. I personally like Art Deco, but not Wright's Organic style. Wright actually started his career in late Victorian, and turned out increasingly wild ideas for the time. Now, when every airline terminal and public school from the middle of the 20th century has ripped off elements of Organic, with varying shades of skill, it doesn't seem that special.

If those rocks were 300 feet taller they could film a “D-Day” movie there.
