OK just a thought.
America needs jobs. American jobs are provided, by goods which are made in America, which people buy.
Working Americans = American presents. For an entire generation now, America has sent US jobs overseas, then re-imported the now foreign goods, from China or elsewhere.
I say enough. I just heard of this site on Washington Times' website, for their morning news show.
http://madeinusaforever.com/
I'm not just advocating for this site, but just starting a reference point hopefully, to link for American goods.
We can make a difference. Let's start.
Only suckers believe in free markets when dealing with Communists and multi-national corporations. Freedom of choice? Pay double for an American item? Who are you kidding? Try buying an American made TV, computer, cell phone, or any other electronic item. You're full of crap if you think we have a viable manufacturing base in this country. You believe in free markets? BS. There is none. Meanwhile the American worker is unemployed, you "unfree" market apologist for Communists....
SEIU- organizing workers in three sectors: health care (over half of members work in the health care field), including hospital, home care and nursing home workers; public services (local and state government employees); and property services (including janitors, security officers and food service workers).
This is why dining out has to become a thing of the past. Learn how to cook on your own, America! Even cave man could do it! (And in this obomaconomy, it's going to become a necessity, so you'd better start learning how to do it now).
We have the highest corporate tax rate in the world. Unions have driven wages and freebies through the roof. American workers believe they're entitled to a comfortable, realaxing, and entertaining enviromnemt, so "work" has become another "4 letter word." . If these three things were eliminated, people would build here. As it stands, a decent business would be suicidal to come here.
It not the fault of business. They're not designed to be charities or to give away every cent they earn. They're trying to run business and they'll go where the governments are the most friendly. Businesses are not the bad guys here. They're the victims of leftism.
If I wanted to build a major manufacturing company, I'd be digging my own grave if I tried to make it here. I'd be financially raped and plundered by the leftists within the first 24 hours after opening my doors!
Everything you say is true. We need to stop doing business with Communists in both China and our government....
If you are getting a cell fone, get a moto x droid. It is the only phone made in America. I just got two, picked out my own color scheme (purple and gold-LSU colors), and got a cutie pink and blue one for my daughter. They also come engraved with your name or whatever.
Good idea.
So tired of our more liberal globalist posters on here with their America-hate and pushing Free Trade. Buying American helps Americans
Actually...you agree with Al Gore, Bill Clinton, George Soros, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Karl Marx, FDR, John Maynard Keynes, the UN, and...Barack Hussein Obama...in supporting Free Trade
Free Trade is a liberal idea...and supported by liberals. Maybe you need to take yourself to DU
You have zero clue what you are talking about with regards to free trade.
In a free market economy, there would be no gov’t interference nor restrictions to trade.
This is what Ronald Reagan was pushing for during the entire 80s
http://www.cato.org/publications/commentary/reagan-embraced-free-trade-immigration
Our trade policy rests firmly on the foundation of free and open markets. I recognize the inescapable conclusion that all of history has taught: The freer the flow of world trade, the stronger the tides of human progress and peace among nations.-Ronald Wilson Reagan 1986
It was the Reagan administration that launched the Uruguay Round of multilateral trade negotiations in 1986 that lowered global tariffs and created the World Trade Organization. It was his administration that won approval of the U.S.-Canada Free Trade Agreement in 1988. That agreement soon expanded to include Mexico in what became the North American Free Trade Agreement, realizing a vision that Reagan first articulated in the 1980 campaign. It was Reagan who vetoed protectionist textile quota bills in 1985 and 1988.
Educate yourself on free trade and it being a “liberal idea” unless you want to say Reagan was a marxist liberal as you seem to insinuate
Perhaps you meant classic liberal?
So you think the solution is higher tarrifs and greater gov’t interference in the market?
I thought I was on a conservative website. Tariffs and protectionist trade policies are the tools of liberals and those wanting to mooch off the work of others
Spot on.
Don't forget that even if you somehow was able to create a viable non-union manufacturing plant in the USA, you would be dealing with staggering workman's comp claims and there would be no end to petty lawsuits filed against you. Workers would "twist" their back on the job and take the summer off. Workers would "slip" on the floor and hit you up with another claim. Not to mention all the workers dissing you and your company on social media for every imaginable petty complaint. Then you'd have to install separate restrooms for those with "gender identification" issues. I get a headache just thinking about all the problems that would ensue.
Yeah, I'd take my manufacturing plant to China too.
This is great. Thank You!
” Businesses are not the bad guys here. They’re the victims of leftism. “
Another thing is the sexual harassment business. My son has worked for a large company for about 25 years and men can’t even say “Nice dress!” to a woman. A constant fear of lawsuits.
Insanity !
.
I went to the moto site, and that is correct.
I would just like to take a moment and point out to anyone considering a cell phone: Get a moto x droid.
Nice looking phone, too.
Good looking phone. Lots of assorted color options from drab to bright, dark, light and everything in between. I like it a lot.
Have a phone, but thinking of upgrading.
Thanks.
Trade with Communists who use slave labor and manipulate their currency is conservative? You better re-think what conservatism really is. Ans wasn’t it Clinton who pushed for China’s entry in the WTO? Some conservative friend you have there....
Just for posters’ information, here is the Moto site:

This link is to a Motorola phone, which is made in the USA:

Made in America. Looks darn nice, too.
Just wanted to make that clear. So many phones are currently made in China.
Motorola is making this phone, right here in America.
:)
“There is a lot of custom handmade stuff out there”
I’d be more inclined to buy the items you describe than those produced by the Godless and Godforsaken unions. The more money they make, the more financial support goes to the dems. I’d rather buy Chinese; at least they don’t pretend to be pro-America as the unions do. It’s honest.
China is wrong.
Their entire system is a union. A gigantic communist union, which takes over ever industry which moves to China.
They are not even religious.
Bring back US jobs to America.
Stop selling out America.
