I can tell you exactly what you are doing wrong that is causing the CFL’s to fail. You are turning them on, stop turning them on! If you were an environmentally conscious person you would never turn them on.

I’ve had several CFL bulbs burn out before their time. One lasted 24 hours, another 30 days, another 90 days. Others burn out after about a year.
They do not last near as long as claimed.

Somehow, I find myself replacing them about every 6 months.You have to use them right, I only use them places where the lights will not be turned on and off relatively quickly (bathrooms), especially hard to reach places. My bulbs consistently last a few years each.
