...an angel who shows Bailey’s unlikeable grandson (also named George Bailey) how much better off the world would have been had he never been born.

From this description, George is a nice conservative family man who attends church every Sunday, goes to the practice range on Saturdays, and provides for his family without any need for government assistance.
