Last week, a woman in Overland Park listed a wedding ring set on Craigslist that she wanted to swap for tickets to the Chiefs-Broncos game at Arrowhead on Dec. 1.
.......
Since listing the rings a story that quickly went viral the seller has endured backlash from people who criticized her for giving up her wedding rings for football tickets. She asked to remain anonymous.
What she didnt tell anyone: The rings were from a previous marriage and have no emotional importance to her anymore.

I could understand selling them if there was an emergency. But just selling them for football tickets?
I think this woman is a horses ass.
Does she have any children by husband #1?
Maybe the rings would have been nice for the kids?

Who PAID for them in the first place? The same guy who pays for all wedding rings: some sucker blinded by butterflies who deluded himself into believing all that "till death do we part" crap.

Without knowing the whole story all you "men" automatically decide that it's always the woman's fault and the guy is the sucker.

Lets see.
The rings belonged to her.
They had some material value.
She wanted tickets (of material value)to a particular game.
She offered to trade the rings for the tickets.
So where is the news story?
Her rings her business.

So where is the news story? For me, the news story is that once again, sports talking heads like ESPN are beating this drum 24/7 without caring to wait for all of the facts.
Kind of like the current Incognito story.
The 24 hour news cycle and social media can't be bothered with waiting until it's certain it's getting the story straight and factual.
This story has been out for at least a week and now we're just hearing it's an ex's ring?
Somehow I'm not surprised.

That's nice. I think she's a uncouth jerk, and you're only concern is that free commerce has taken place.
I hope your kids meet someone like her.

What difference does it make? She owns them. They're hers to do with what she pleases. Exactly so. Now, if you want to talk about how obsessed our culture is with sports, that's another issue. I've never been a fan of any sport, much to the bemusement of my friends and colleagues.

It was 4 tickets to the Bronco game and 2 to the Charger game. If we don’t know anything about the first marriage or the breakup thereof, isn’t pontificating a futile exercise.
