Nice posture in the first photo. Beats the grunge look prevalent in Seattle. She is the counter-culture.

Good for her. It’s rather sweet and countercultural. Plus, she’s not hurting a soul and her husband seems to be enjoying her immensely.

Corsets, if laced too tightly, can displace internal organs. They honestly can be a health hazard.

she has also unabashedly embraced the 19th century, deciding to live a wholly Victorian-era lifestyle. I have no problem with what they are doing and offer a hearty "good for them." On the other hand I think a couple of weeks in 1880's London would disillusion them of much of their Victorian romanticism.

Which does more harm...a corset...or Obamadork care?

Does the term “Victorian” apply to the US? Since her tastes in clothing and literature seem to be mostly from the 1880’s and 1890’s, I would say that she lives a postbellum lifestyle.

Playing dress-up doesn’t harm anyone.
I wonder what they use for toilets, though.

She’s a fruit. Is it not possible to dress tastefully and still align with one’s own century? This is a mental illness — a harmless one, by all appearances, but a mental dysfunction all the same.

I've never found them that comfortable, actually. But if you've already bought the high-heeled boots, the fishnet stockings, and the bull whip, whatchagonnado?
