HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) A white Republican unseated a 24-year African-American incumbent from office in a surprise election victory that some are saying was racially tinged and deceptive.
Dave Wilson, who KHOU reports is an anti-gay activist and former fringe candidate for mayor, is being criticized by his opposition for his campaign that reportedly lead the overwhelmingly African-American, Democratic district to believe he was black.

Shows that the Low Information Voter angle can be capitalized on by everyone.
So white candidates should claim they’re black, and if challenged should just start screaming “racist!”

Pretty good take on this problem given by SNL recently:

The skit analyzes black voters and their support for President Obama.

the dems will do the same to the hispanics. once they no longer need the black vote(amnesty) they will abandon the blacks.
the mexicans are abt to buy the same lie. the too will be in for the second slavery ( welfare).
watch them destroy this group too.
Lord i dont understand how folks cant see their lies.
Denouncing God at the DNC would be enough for me.

The thing is, he never actually said he was black. All he did was -
(a) show no pictures of himself,
(b) copy & paste some pictures of blacks into his brochure.
People drew their own conclusions.

Once again, I am convinced that Kayne West had a brilliant idea in trying to co-opt the Confederate flag.
Oddly enough, that flag is the one unifying symbol of slave-descended black Americans.
By comparison, black Americans could take it over like the “n” word; that is, blacks can use it with each other, but non-blacks cannot use it. In this case, if West can convince other black people to wear the stars and bars, it can be the new “black” symbol. At the same time, as with the “n” word, non-blacks could not use that symbol without still being accused of racism.
If West can pull it off, he deserves credit for a really crafty idea.

I would have thought that Chris Christie had a closer connection to Domino's Pizza than to Fats Domino.
He's not related to Lou Christie, for that matter. Not that Lou Christie is black either.
