Poor you! I have run ins with pit Bulls almost every day at the dog park and I to have been viciously licked and loved by them! however I have had many nasty run ins with little terriers and poodle which tend to be overly aggressive and cause fights. You must be very happy to be so ignorantly opinionated, but hey that’s why America is so great you can have your opinion and I can have mine and we can both go on in life happy with our selves. Oh by the way in case you want to educate yourself http://www.cesarsway.com/dogbehavior/basics/How-Did-Pit-Bulls-Get-a-Bad-Rap
Woman, 25, mauled to death by her boyfriend's two pit bulls when they turned on her as she fed them
Must just be a coincidence!
You're defending the indefensible. Reports of pit bull maulings are constantly running in the press, and they have been for many, many years.
The overwhelming numbers of these reports indicate that this breed of dog is genetically predisposed to violent behavior. It's simply a fact.
It's also a fact that pit bull terriers were originally bred to be hunter-killers. Look it up. Apparently, that instinct has never died out in them, and is now expressed by thousands upon thousands of violent, unprovoked attacks by these animals every year.
Deny reality if you like. That's your business. Most rational people see that there needs to be some sort of safety protocols put in place to protect the public from this breed of exotic animal.
Poor misunderstood little Pitt Bulls! Tear apart a few too many children and adults, year in and year out - and now people don’t realize how wonderful they really are.
Garbage breed.
Some psychology as to why pit bull owners come up with their drivel to defend their vicious pets.
How come pit bull owners say, "My dog might lick you to death." To understand the experience of owning a negatively perceived dog, Tufts Center for Animals and Public Policy did a study on pit bull owners. Researchers found that owners of out-law dog breeds directly feel the stigma targeted at their breed and resort to various tactics to lessen it. One of the tactics included attempts to counterbalance the pit bull's menacing appearance and physical power with overwhelming "affectionate" behavior, such as: "My dog might lick you to deathFrom dogsbite.org
Pop psychology to be sure, but probably more than a little true.
Ridicule all you wish.
You bet we have the freedom to be ignorant. And that word means ‘uneducated’ or perhaps ‘uninformed’ sometimes with a ‘rude’ component.
So, willfully burying your head in the sand about a subject as plain as the inherent problems with this breed, generates in me the hope that I do not read a news account of a certain Freeper getting mauled along with his earlier quotes about how great Pit Bulls are.
Good luck FRiend.
