Fairfax,Woodson highschool: at 7am I was voter #109, that's LOW! For the last 18 year I have voted at same time to get a feel for turnout. I'm in a Heavy Dem area.... So there is hope!
My future kids won’t ever see a public school. My girlfriend is already in agreement with me and she is a public school teacher.
You're talking to someone who once owned Global Crossing stock. I lost it all, yet McAuliffe was able to walk away with $18.5 million dealing with the exact same stock. Can you say 'insider information'?
So nice of the Roanoke Times to signal the McAuliffe campaign that there are still a lot of untapped Democrat votes remaining in Roanoke-Salem. A few phone calls, a few buses, and scores of EBT cards and cigarettes, and the votes will start pouring in.
I made the same choice years ago, my children attend private school and the sacrifices that requires are more than worth it, on every level.
I firmly believe public schooling is the lowest common denominator, it is an education provided when no other option is available.
Why so many hand their children off to the state for a huge chunk of their lives and then act shocked that their kids wind up being indoctrinated into beliefs and other things they don’t personally agree with is beyond me.
Public education in the United States long ago ended being about actually educating children and teaching them to think critically and reasonably.
I had the unique position of attending both private and public schools growing up, and I can tell you that the last 3 years of high school when I transferred to the public school system were a complete academic waste.. I was reading books in 12th grade I had read in middle school, teaching my own teachers how to properly do math, and don’t even get me started on the computer teachers....
Why would you send your child to spend 1 hour of their time, let alone 6-7 hours a day in a building and with people who do not believe and will not reinforce the fundamental basic moral beliefs you hold dear? Let alone let them be responsible for their “education”.
The bond issues were open ended and non specific...just money to spend on what ever. Now for a specific needed project or equipment that can be justified...maybe. Politicians really must thinking we are stupid using such general language like that. The bond issues read like UN treaty resolutions!
I would rather them be informed liberals than low-info idiots.
CNN just put up some exit polls and said Cuccenili was getting 85% of conservative votes and and the most leftwing candidate in the history of the country was getting 12% of CONSERVATIVE voters. A word to the wise, pay no attention to CNN exit polling. What a lie. What a joke. No way in 40 hells that the leftist is getting 1% of conservative votes, much less 12%.
That’s because the RATS are in manufacture mode. They know they already have suspiciously high turnout in some precincts, have to spread the fraud around to keep it under the radar.
Everything right now is a lie, and I hope upon hope TEA lied to the pollsters.
Is this where we can keep up with results tonight, Hoosier?
LOL newnhdad...
Voted this evening in West Roanoke County, no McAuliffe signs to be found either at my place or another up the street. Very poor GOTV efforts from the Dem side.
There have been a couple of threads listed as live. I can’t find any of them. Ping me if you do!
NBC Washington. Low turnout!

My wife told me our polling precinct in Gloucester Point had over 700 pass through by 4 p.m. There probably will be close to 1000 or so. That should take it up to about 40-45% in what is one of the most conservative districts in Virginia.
bttt
I wouldn’t. Low info voters are just stupid cattle. Intelligent liberals are the sinister ones herding the cattle.
and produce... i like the deli too... and the wines and cheeses! love Whole Foods...
hear, hear... :)
Fox news just declared Cuccinelli lost the election.
