What a misleading headline. The headline makes it seem like some gun toting nut went of “half-cocked” (pun intended) and shot two innocent people to death for simply asking him about his roosters.
MIsleading title. IMHO, should have incuded the part about them drawing weapons.
Good on this Texan...took two down.
Probabaly cock fighting related, and they needed the money for drugs. One or both of those had something to do with it in all probability.
Had a friend who had a rooster named Barbeque. He was.
“then drew guns on the homeowner”
well, just leave that part out of the title, will ya?
“Asking about the roosters” was the “interview” phase of the 5 stages of violent crime.
Look up “5 stages of violent crime”.

That headline is wildly misleading.
Not criticizing you, marktwain, but the source.
Did they come to snuff the roosters?
Good shooting, Citizen. Civilization thanks you.
Talk about a deliberatly misleading headline! The two apparently threatened the guy with their firearms and he fought back.
WHAT A FRIGGIN’ MISLEADING HEADLINE!!!!!!!
Pardon me for shouting, but a more accurate and informative headline would be:
“Texas Homeowner Kills 2 Who Drew Guns”
The headline makes it sound like some old coot shot a couple of poor Dreamers who inquired about purchasing poultry. Dollars to donuts both Dreamers have rap sheets as long as the Rio Grande.

When in Texas, don’t mess with their women, insult their horse, disrespect their flag,,,,,,,, or ask about their Roosters.
God bless Texas.....
I may have had an experience a couple of years ago that was the fist stage of something like this. It was in the summer. I heard a persistent knocking at my front door and went into to the breezeway to see who it might be. I saw four young Hispanic males with an old car and startled them. I took off running to get my weapon and they took off as fast as they could go, probably knowing exactly what I was doing, it being a semi-rural area where most people are armed and nobody tries to hide the fact. It’s the closest I’ve come in my life (I’m over 70) to ever having to display or discharge a firearm in anger. I thank God I had it and the potential perps were smart enough to know what was about to happen.
Definitely a cock-a-doodle-don't.
Little Jerry?
Those bodega owners can be touchy.
Were they trying to break the two roosters out of the coop???
