Welcome to Britain’s most haunted B&B - where terrified guests have been left so scared they have even jumped out of the windows.
The Ancient Ram Inn, in the village of Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, is believed to be riddled with up to 20 spectres who torment the paying punters of the 12th century home.
Built on an ancient pagan burial ground - and also believed to be the scene of child sacrifices and devil worship - the Cotswolds cottage is haunted by the likes of a murdered young girl called Rosie, a high priestess, and even a male sex demon, known as an incubus.
The strange goings on include a blood-curdling child’s scream, ‘electrified’ wooden beams, and even the touch of an invisible force.
Caroline Humphries, whose family has lived in the Ram Inn for nearly 50 years, said: 'My father won’t go anywhere without his Bible.'

He did not believe in it and thought he could just produce with Travel channel and have GAC do the stuff. It was ONLY when GAC returned to Bobby Mackey’s that the sh*t hit the fan and the cast and crew, especially the amateur ghost hunters they invited were affected. He was taking a shower at the hotel after the night wrap and he actually heard a growl in the bathroom..
They had to see a priest who was an exorcist. Funny. Zac is not religious at all.
I've definitely chosen not to pursue some scripts and novels about this subject matter. Not that I wouldn't love to write and direct it, but let's just say I have a respect for and have earned my spiritual . . . uh--privacy. lol. Have fun on the Queen Mary!
It looks like there’s an incredible old building under all that mess. 12th Century, for heaven’s sake. The Plantagenets were ruling.
My parents house is haunted. They built it in 1982, first house in a new subdivision. Had weird stuff happen right off the bat. Beds shaking when you are in it sleeping waking you up, crashing sounds in the middle of the night and you get up and nothing out of place, lights turn on or off by themselves, the back door from garage opens and closes and you hear someone walk in only to find no one there, turning the light off and laying down in bed and within a few seconds of your head touching the pillow you feel and hear something slap the pillow beside your ear, apparitions being seen etc...
It’s happened to extended family members, neighbors and friends. Sometimes we do not say anything about the activity to a new friend when they come to visit and after a few hours or a day or so they will pull one of the family aside and embarrassingly ask, is this place haunted and relay the story or stories of things that happened to them already.
No one in my family believed in anything such as ghosts or hauntings until we moved into this house, we would have said they are crazy, imagining things or drunk. After 30 yrs. of seeing things that cannot logically be explained away by family, neighbors and friends we believe.
