Post 'em here!
Probably since the Cards were awful at home for three games. Only the interference call in Game 3 gave them a win.
I don’t have extra beets. Every year I purchase a can for the occasion. I don’t eat beets; not sure how I ended up with the original can.
Yes there have been a few incidents of product tampering. But the legend of Halloween candy tampering predates that, though it did escalate, and always revolved around razorblades and needles, hence the fondness for x-raying candy, and logging where it came from presumably so they could send in the SWAT teams. It was all really quite silly.
You reject the evidence that does exist. These people have documented police officers on tape discussing this very thing.
You refuse to even watch it. How are detectives that know this occurs because they’ve investigated it for years, where they are, and know it when they see it, anecdotal evidence?!?! These are real cases.
But fine, just admit you don’t care to look at real evidence. Just rationalize it away because it would disturb your little reality. Normalcy bias is strong in you.
Oh yawn. Here goes the snippy little passive-aggressive personal shots. I’ll bite. I am sure there is no confirmation bias on your part when you consume these videos that serve to validate some religious paranoia, and I say that as a religious person. I didn’t even say there is absolutely no possibility that Satanists kill cats around Halloween. I said it is LIKELY urban myth. In exploring it just a little I found nothing that makes it a worthwhile topic of investigation. It’s probably nonsense.
That will be perfect. Please say “Hi” to Billy and the gang for Bryan and me.
Bryan and I don’t get any Trick-or-Treaters here, so we will just have a quiet evening at home.
That is, assuming that the farmer has finished harvesting his fields by tomorrow night. That dang harvester is loud.
you have no way of proving any bias on my part or the people who do the Pagan Invasion series, as you have no clue who they are, and refuse to watch their documentary. you are just making assumptions based on your own comfort level.
close-minded know-it-all.
You have to be wrong. The fedgov stats tell us there’s no food price inflation.

Ha!! I am thinking of cutting the, already, shrunken down mini candies into about fourths and telling the kids we all need to cut back to pay for everyone else’s Obamacare and food stamps.
Hubby and I are taking our 19 month old trick or treating for the first time. She’s going to be a pirate!
It is Samhain.
I have been invited to a friend’s house, where they will be having a ‘dumb (as in silent) dinner’. There shall be a place set and dinner served, with any and all photographs of those the guests or I wish remembered this night. There will be a scroll for I and the other guests to write the names to be proclaimed in remembrance. After dinner, as we all sit in candlelight, with our coffee in hand and silent, the scroll shall be proclaimed by one of the hosts, with one toll of a bell for each name proclaimed. Then, after a time, we shall all disperse, to each our homes.
In another place, and time, I have attended one of these dinners. It was in a large hall, so you can fill in the scenario.
To all I wish a Happy Hallowe’en, A Blessed Samhain.
(It’s pronounced ‘SOW-ehn’.)
We are handing our Sucrets, Benedictine and Jack Chick tracts.
Actually, we’ve never had a ToTer in the 15 years we’ve lived here. Too isolated and up a mountain.
We will turn the lights off in the front of the house, lock the door and ignore any and all knocks. We choose not to participate in this particular “holiday”.
Walgreens had them for $1.99/bag, then I had coupons for another $.50/bag in 3s, then Walgreens gave us $.50 coupons for each bag “to use later”. I have been watching the candy prices for weeks. Otherwise it would have been dum-dums instead of chocolate.
Put God first, you can still have time for a celebration. As long as you know what youre celebrating. Many people just celebrate materialism.
