HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- First Baptist Church has released a statement regarding the recent arrest of a man outside the church that is gaining attention and sparking conversation on social media.
Joshua Chukwuedozie Ude, 23, was arrested in the parking lot of the church, located at 600 Governors Drive, after Huntsville police said he was questioned about disruptive behavior during a service inside. Police said he became uncooperative and refused to leave.
Police arrested him and charged him with resisting arrest and criminal trespassing.
The arrest was caught on video by someone who identifies himself as Ude's brother.

On Sunday, October 27th, three men were observed taking photographs outside the church of the mosaic on the front of our building. One man entered the building, was welcomed by our ushers and invited to join the service which was already in progress. Initially, he declined, but later two of the three young men entered the sanctuary approximately 40 minutes after the service had begun, walked down the center aisle and sat in the front pew. Our pastor, Dr. David Hull, was already preaching the sermon at this point. One of the men removed a cell phone and appeared to be videotaping and/or taking photographs. At no time were the men confronted or asked to leave the service. They remained in the service for approximately 10 minutes, at which time they got up, walked out the center aisle and left the service. The third young man remained in the hallway engaged in conversation with our ushers. After leaving .....

They got what they were after. However, they were ‘measured’ and they were found ‘wanting’.
There is no ‘there’ here.
The line that cracked me up from these two ‘citizens’ is “I am a LICENSED respiratory therapist!”
You can’t make this stuff up.

I work security at my church. We are on the look out for nut jobs.
There is a HUGE public housing complex in the area behind the church. More down the street. And a block away, an area where a large homeless population lived under a bridge. Until it was outlawed. The fire department would have to come every so often and literally hose the area down as it was very unsanitary. The church is located in/near the medical district but otherwise a part of town I don’t venture into after dark.
Some of us are armed at mine.
Their behavior is one of the BIG red flags to watch out for. They were up to something, other than coming to church to worship.
They will not let us do it, even we who are concealed carry
They might be Muslims scoping a target.
Or planning a collection plate armed robbery. It happens.
As I tell my close associates, “concealed means never having to apologize for having it when needed”.
Perhaps they were art critics...there's plenty there to criticize.
When a LEO asks you a question, you say "yes sir and no sir" while answering him/her. They don't care about your protests and filming and rights you think you have. They are professionally trained to know what they are and what they aren't. They know everything is being recorded today and will be in court some day. They have a legal reason for doing and saying what they do.
The perps, OTOH, seem to believe today that they have some special rights to do and say and act whatever way they think some fictitious BILL OF RIGHTS has given them by watching You TUBE. In Texas, You will get arrested for not providing your name when they ask. Resisting arrest is almost a slam dunk when you show any attitude. This is just the facts of life today. If you think you can show disrespect for the police because you have some weird idea of special rights, you will end up in cuffs in the back of a car. Apparently, people don't learn like they used to in my day. You can have a complete rap sheet today with just your mouth as a weapon.
If they keep thinking they have these rights, they will end up taking a shower with a guy named "Bone" in the slammer.

Something very similar happened at our church many years ago.
Two months later, 10k worth of audio equipment was stolen.

We have several in our Church who pack (Athens, AL). Including a couple of women.
They might be Muslims scoping a target.
That’s a possibility. They certainly have no respect for the Christian faith.
Amazing how disrespectful these thugs were. Imagine if three young whites walked into a black church and did that? Also, imagine if three young whites walked into a mosque and did that?
