Just my thoughts on this!
1. It feeds Mr. Obama's ego.
2. It advertises for the opponent and his political affiliation. (Coke and Pepsi learned many years ago not to mention their competitor in their ads.)
3. Subliminal message is that Mr. Obama cares - I don't see any caring in this act except about votes for person and party.
4. Congress and senate critters passed bill and all members voting for this act should be held accountable for their votes. If they had not voted for it, the President could not have signed it.
As to alternative name, call it ACA to be pronounced to rhyme with caca and we all know what that is. If you want to rename the act, how about CACA (Cursed Affordable Care Act) pronounced as suggested above.
Feel free to pass on to others that support the US Constitution and personal liberty that includes the right of risk taking and failure.

Not sure we’ve got the best alternative name for it yet, however. I kind of like “Marxist medicine”, since it is on the Marxist path toward full the “Communist medicine” that Obama and his allies are ultimately aiming for. “Socialized medicine” used to be a pretty effectively stigmatizing epitaph.
“Fascist medicine” would be a more accurate name for it, but Marxists of course have been too successful loading the fascist term with other meanings and right-wing connotations.

Calling it Obama Care is the GREATEST GIFT the Democrats have EVER GIVEN US in the history or electoral PR.....and now some folks think it should be changed?????

Besides, Obama Care as a name is the absolute best gift we conservatives have to hang this around the deserving folks. When everyone bitches about liberals never getting the blame for anything, the saving grace for this is that it’s called OBAMACare and the site is called Healthcare dot GOV!

No. obamacare is an utter disaster on several levels. It was foisted upon Americans solely by the democratic party, not one GOP vote in the House. It is obama’s baby, now he has to stick around and be the father of it. Reid and Pelosi don’t get a pass either. These three and their fellow democrat cohorts in crime are responsible. I will not let anyone forgive nor forget.

I have been calling it the “Communist Affordable Care Act” © (aka CACA ©) for some time.
There is no way I want to go to my grave constantly hearing that vile man’s name.
I was one of a group of people who got banned from an online lung cancer support group (Lung Cancer Alliance) for using the word Obamacare back when this train wreck was being proposed. One of the ladies was near death, and had contact only with her husband, hospice workers, and the friends she had met at Lung Cancer Alliance. I had traded emails with her, so we remained in contact until she died, but she lost contact with a large network of friends who had been providing immeasurable support while she faced death. We had all been warned to stop using the word Obamacare, but none of us took it seriously. LCA took it very seriously.
I will not stop calling it Obamacare.
